google translate - Using Chrome omnibox for quick translation -


i realized there's quick commands omnibox, i'm wondering if theres commands google translate. want translate chinese swedish, possible write similar 你好 --from chinese --to swedish ?

the address bar of google supports opensearch standard. therefore can taught sorts of new engines google translator or wikipedia.the below steps shows how add shortcut use google translator translate english french right address bar :

  • right-click in address bar.
  • select edit search engines
  • click on add
  • in name field, enter “google translation”
  • in keyword field, enter “trans”
  • in url field, enter “http://translate.google.com/#auto|fr|%s”
  • hit enter , close window .
  • in address bar, enter “trans morning everybody”
