jquery - Removing background loading gif after slider loaded -


im setting simple loading gif act place holder while slider images loading, ive got setup , working fine, slider images fade white between each image, every time fade can see loading gif spinning.

im trying work out way hide once images have loaded, cant see how it, ive tried push right using z-index: -1000; still didnt work, ideas how accomplish ?

ive made jsfiddle of slider running here - http://jsfiddle.net/k4z7u/1/

just add:

$('.loading-gif').remove();

in ready function.
