active directory - Access Management Architecture -


i have come recommendation on how design , create access rights. (just mention - beginner in qlikview, company work, decided buy tool).

tale of tape is:

  • we have production , development servers.
  • what has cleared how colleagues develop dashboards/applications.
  • will develop on local machines or using remote access
  • on development server, have created "indevelopment" folder , gave access rights 2 groups "intern" , "extern" (they can see developing applications)
  • it should not alowed every developer can see every other developer doing
  • the security concept should defined windows active directory groups

the users following:

  1. qv developers (in "operations" , in "it" department, therefore - 2 groups) - these users doing loading, transformation, creating data models..
  2. qv designers (in "operations" , in "it" department, therefore - 2 groups) - these users create dashboard layouts
  3. qv users/testers (in "operations" , in "it" department, therefore - 2 groups) - these users can see , test app/dashboard

i have suggest plan how define security, , how should develop in future - local vs remote i.e. development concept has defined - teh core question, , reason writing post. appreciate , suggestions concerning matter. (the order of request maybe not optimal because of brainstorming , lack of big-picture side, reason asking way)

i saw here on few related questions (like this one , of course, this one )... essentially, want store date-time utc, , let application user choose time zone wants display date-time in. since seems date-time fields affected underlying jdbc driver, wonder if acceptable way go storing utc date-time: set both mysql , application server machine utc time zone (no need separate) both mysql , jvm should pick underlying system time settings (if not instructed otherwise) use datetime table columns on mysql side use java.util.date corresponding mapping on hibernate side (i guess java.sql.timestamp used too) let application worry interpreting date-time fields - i.e. let user choose preferred time zone is ok? edit clarify - here meant refer timestamps created strictly on server (e.g.date-time of record creation). application server instantiates date objects (new date() equals current date-time on server, , time zone agnostic). if client user wants supply date searching/filte...
