hadoop - what's the difference between distcp hdfs and hftp,why distcp hdfs is effective? -


what's difference between distcp hdfs , hftp, why distcp hdfs effective? copy hfds files between 2 cluster of different version。

distcp hftp should used when copying of data between 2 clusters of different versions(different versions of hadoop). command should executed destination cluster, (more specifically, on tasktrackers can write destination cluster)

the source should specified hftp:///.
