Why doesn't Visual Studio give me an option to create a DLL? -


i have vs 2005 express edition , platform sdk 2003.

why doesn't vs allow me create dll?

seems known vs 2005 express edition bug. similar issues documented here , here.

so set .exe, go solution properties, configuration > general > configure type , change .dll. should give same result if dll option available.
