performing voice processing in real time on Android phones -


i new android , java , need know if possible
want capture sound input phone's microphone, perform computations on signal , output modified signal earphones
processing input microphone in real time possible?
the android developers website says

note: android emulator not have ability capture audio, but actual devices provide these capabilities.

what mean likely? possible phones not allow reading microphone @ all?

it possible.

when record audio can buffer processing , output or save or whatever....

there app example following thing when calls you:

it combines voice sound recorded , plays in sync caller, making him think on party, bus etc....this example of processing sound recorded.
