vmware - Default datastore1 has disappeared on ESXi 5.1 installation -


prior motherboard issue, removed ssd drive containing esxi had smallish datastore1 housed directly on it. when placed in computer, esxi boots fine, datastore1 found, , have lost vms contained important vms used development, including blog (which not oncerned about, nonetheless, have lost last few months of posts).

is there way recover datastore1? or troubleshooting techniques? note sure kind of fs used esxi, running tool dd_rescue may not either if can't recognise fs.

esxi create vmfs file system datastores.

was disk reported under devices ?

did try rescan new datastores vsphere ui ?

then try add new datastore on device, check whether prompted new signature question ? (dont run , check whether asking or not)
